Child sexual abuse is seen nationally. The United States Department of Justice created an online page called NSOPW where people can see national sex offenders near them. The site is designed to monitor sex offenders and provide facts and bring awareness to sexual abuse. Child sexual abuse affects the united states because the victims have difficulty being part of society because they feel depressed and guilty. The victims blame themselves for causing the abuse to happen to them and they don't know how to cope. Many organizations were created to help support the victims move on with their life like the blue ribbon campaign and the ENOUGH abuse campaign.
California is part of the ENOUGH ABUSE CAMPAIGN. The enough abuse campaign is a movement that against child sexual abuse. The program educates adults to help prevent for a child to get sexually abuse and know how to intercede for the child if it's in a situation like that. Other states like Nevada, New York, Massachusetts, Maryland, and New Jersey are part of the ENOUGH ABUSE CAMPAIGN as well. This campaign goes to different places like school or other community meetings to talk about child sexual abuse and explains what it means, what to do if any child is being sexually abuse like reporting the abuse either by calling the police or helpline or telling someone they trust like a teacher, close friend or family member.
